Kulshan Carbon Trust was founded as a Washington non-profit corporation in April 2021. The idea of a non-profit carbon conservation system arose from our initial white paper entitled, Creating a Carbon Conservation Movement. At the heart of the concept is a network of non-profit organizations called carbon conservation trusts (or carbon trusts) that acquire and secure non-possessory property interests in carbon.
